Billing, budgets, and credits

Updated

Each namespace has its own billing: a plan, spending budgets for AI and storage, and a prepaid credit balance you can top up ahead of time.

Your plan

Your current plan is shown on Billing, a tile of the account's settings, which the ⚙ beside its name in the account menu (☰, at the top left) opens. When online checkout is enabled you choose a plan right there and pay by card — Paddle handles the payment and the taxes, and the plan activates as soon as the payment is confirmed. "Manage subscription" opens Paddle's secure portal to change the card or cancel. Every payment appears under Payments — card payments through Paddle come with their receipt, bank transfers show their transfer reference. Paying by bank transfer also works — see below.

Budgets

Budgets are spending limits for the namespace, like a spending cap. They're shown on that same Billing page; changing one is done by an operator — write to us.

  • Monthly AI budget is a hard cap, and AI is never uncapped: every namespace gets $10 of AI per month by default. Once your prepaid credits run out and this month's AI spend reaches the budget, AI features (create-from-photo, the reference picker, bulk photo/PDF imports, and designing a table with AI) are blocked until you raise the budget or add credits. A bulk photo/PDF import sizes its whole batch against what you have left before it starts, and stops early if the budget runs out mid-import.
  • Storage budget is a soft cap. When your stored data goes over it you'll see a warning, but uploads are never blocked.
Every namespace starts with the $10/month AI default. If you need more room, ask us to raise the budget or add prepaid credits — AI spending is never silently unlimited.

Prepaid credits

Credits let you pay for usage ahead of time. AI usage draws down your credit balance first; only once credits run out does spending count against the monthly AI budget.

Adding credits or paying for a plan

  1. Pay by bank transfer using the details on your invoice.
  2. Send us the transfer receipt.
  3. We record the deposit, and your credit balance or plan updates.

Accounts you manage

Each account has its own billing, managed by whoever runs it. As a manager you choose an account's plan, see its payments, and buy its credits from that account's Billing page — under the ⚙ beside its name in the account menu while you're in the account, or the ⚙ at the end of its tile on the Accounts page; budgets are adjusted by an operator.
