DataWasi

Terms of service

Last updated: October 28, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and us for using DataWasi, in plain words. The short version: your data stays yours, you can cancel any time, and if a payment wasn't worth it, you can have it back within 14 days.

Who we are

DataWasi is made and run by b11z, a company (sociedad por acciones simplificada) registered in Uruguay — “we” and “us” on this page. Whether you use the website, the web app at datawasi.app, the apps for Apple devices, or an AI assistant connected to your tables, your agreement is with us, under these terms and our privacy policy (datawasi.com/privacy).

By requesting an account or using DataWasi you accept these terms. If you keep using it after they change (see below), you accept the new version.

Users and accounts

A user is a person who signs in. An account is what holds tables — a household, a business, a project — and it never signs in itself: the users who manage it, and the people they share its tables with, do. You need to be at least 18, or of legal age where you live, to have a user.

New users are approved by hand, and we may decline a request. Keep your password, and your second step if you turned it on, to yourself: you're responsible for what's done with your user, and if you think someone else got in, change your password and tell us.

Whoever manages an account decides who can see and change its tables, and is responsible for how the account uses DataWasi and for paying its plan, if it has one.

Your data

What you keep in DataWasi — tables, records, files, comments — is yours. You let us store, copy, process and show it only as far as running DataWasi for you, and for the people you share it with, needs. We don't look inside your account except to help you when you ask, or when the law requires it.

You're responsible for having the right to keep what you put in, other people's personal details, documents and photos included. You can export your tables whenever you want, and we recommend keeping your own copy of anything important.

What you can't do

Don't use DataWasi to break the law, to defraud, harass or spam anyone, or to keep or share content that infringes someone else's rights. Don't try to get into users, accounts or tables that aren't yours, probe or attack the service, upload malware, scrape it, or load it so heavily that it gets in other people's way.

If you think something kept in DataWasi infringes your rights, write to hola@datawasi.com and we'll look into it. We may remove content that breaks these rules, and suspend users or accounts that do (see “Closing an account, and suspension” below).

AI features and connected assistants

Some features use AI to read photos and documents, fill in values or design a table, and you can connect an AI assistant such as Claude to your tables. AI makes mistakes: check what it writes down before you rely on it, above all amounts, dates and anything with legal or money consequences.

You're responsible for what you ask of these features and of an assistant you connect, and for what you do with the results. A connected assistant acts as you, with your permissions, until you disconnect it. The privacy policy explains what is sent to the AI provider, and when.

Plans and payment

The Free plan costs nothing and needs no card. Paid plans add room and included AI. They're billed every month or every year, in US dollars, plus the taxes that apply where you are, and renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: when you pay by card, Paddle sells you the plan, charges you, handles the taxes and sends your receipts, under its own buyer terms (paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms). If you pay by bank transfer instead, you pay us directly, against an invoice from our company.

We may change our prices. A new price never applies to a period you've already paid for: we'll tell you at least 30 days before it applies to your next renewal, so you can cancel first if you don't want it.

Cancelling a plan

You can cancel any time from the account's Billing page, where “Manage subscription” opens Paddle's portal — or write to us and we'll do it for you. The plan stays until the end of the period you've already paid for, and isn't charged again.

When a paid plan ends, the account goes back to the Free plan and its limits. Nothing is deleted: your tables, records and files stay where they are.

Refunds

If DataWasi wasn't worth what you paid, ask for your money back within 14 days of the payment — a plan's first payment, a renewal, or prepaid AI credits — and we'll refund it in full, without asking why. For credits, that's the credits you haven't used yet.

To ask, write to hola@datawasi.com from your user's email, or, for a card payment, ask Paddle through the link in your receipt or at paddle.net. Card payments are refunded to the card, through Paddle; bank transfers, by transfer to the account that paid. A refunded plan ends when the refund is made, and the account goes back to the Free plan.

After those 14 days we don't refund the rest of a period, but cancelling stops the next charge. If we charged you by mistake, or DataWasi was out of service through our fault for a long stretch, tell us and we'll make it right whenever it happened. And where the law of your country gives you more rights, you have them too.

Closing an account, and suspension

Whoever manages an account can close it from the account's settings, with or without a backup of every table, which stays on their Accounts page for 30 days. Closing deletes the account's tables, records, files and history for good; the copies in our own backups expire as they rotate. A paid plan that hasn't ended keeps the account open until it does, so cancel it first. To close your user, write to us.

We may suspend or close a user or an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, doesn't pay, or puts the service or other people at risk — of fraud or a security problem, for example. Unless the law, a security risk or the urgency of the case stops us, we'll tell you first, and give you the chance to put it right and to export your data.

The service

We work to keep DataWasi running and your data safe, and we keep backups, but we can't promise that it will always be available or free of errors: it's provided as it is.

We improve DataWasi all the time, so features may change or go away. If we ever shut it down, we'll tell you at least 30 days before, and you'll be able to export everything.

DataWasi itself — the software, the apps, the name and the logo — belongs to us. These terms let you use it; they don't give you any other rights to it.

Liability

As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits, lost business or lost data, and our total liability to you for anything to do with DataWasi is limited to what you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits a liability the law doesn't let us limit, such as for fraud or gross negligence.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change matters to you — your rights, what you pay, how refunds work — we'll tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it applies, so that if you don't agree, you can cancel and leave before then.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Uruguay, and the courts of Montevideo settle any dispute about them. If you use DataWasi as a consumer, you keep the protections the law of your country gives you, including going to its courts.
